Bepost Sterile Eye Drops is indicated for the treatment of itching associated with signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.
The recommended therapy is 1 drop of Bepotastine sterile Eye Drops in the affected eye(s) twice daily.
Pediatric Use: Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients below the age of 2 have not been established.
Bepotastine is a topically active, direct H1-receptor antagonist and an inhibitor of the release of histamine from mast cells.
The side effects have been reported in patients: Headache, mild eye irritation, unusual or unpleasant taste in the mouth.
Bepotastine Sterile Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to Bepotastine Besilate or any other component of the preparation.
Before using Bepost, tell your doctor if you are allergic to it. Bepost should not be instilled while wearing contact lenses.
Pregnancy Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Bepotastine should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. It is not known whether Bepotastine is excreted in breast milk. Caution should be exercised when Bepotastine ophthalmic solution is administered to a nursing woman.
If you use more Bepost eye drops than you should, rinse your eye with warm water. Do not put in any more drops until it is time for your next regular dose. Pharmaceutical Precautions
No drug interactions observed but patients who are sensitive to Bepost molecule should be used with caution.
