Alovera tablet is indicated for the following conditions:
Aloe indica: Contains anthraquinone compounds including aloin A, aloin B, 7-hydroxyaloin, and aloe-emodin. It acts as a colonic-specific stimulant laxative by directly acting on the intestinal mucosa, increasing colonic motility and inhibiting water and electrolyte secretion. Research indicates it may also reduce acid reflux symptoms through anti-inflammatory action and by reducing acid production.
Hyoscyamus niger: Contains the alkaloids hyoscyamine and scopolamine. These provide symptomatic relief from spasms associated with various lower abdominal and bladder disorders, including peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, colic, and cystitis.
Piper nigrum: Contains piperine, polysaccharides, fatty oil, and volatile oil. It stimulates thermal receptors, increases secretion of saliva and gastric mucus, and influences liver metabolic functions.
1 to 2 tablets daily at bedtime, or as directed by the physician.
